Rashue.... (((hugs))).... you are a good momma!!!! :) |
You are not alone, we are here! I've been "away" sorting through my crazy mind, but I'm here for ya! love, susan |
Silence in the form of minding MY business, from the family member is the most effective form of support. We simply have nothing significant to encourage them....another alcoholic or addict, well THEY sure do..... |
I know how painful it feels to watch your child struggle and know he is trying to do the next right thing. Sometimes I just said what i felt...that I wished I could just make it go away so she wouldn't have to feel the pain, but I know that sometimes we have to walk through the pain to get to the other side, and I was proud of how she was taking responsibility for her own journey. And always I would tell her I loved her...One thing my daughter told me as she was struggling to stay clean was that she finally understood the meaning of unconditional love and knew my love was unconditional. Words I treasure. Hugs...You're a wonderful mom and terrific lady!! |
The feeling of helplessness is the worst. Hands down. You sound like one hell of a great mom. |
