This is akin to using, Im telling ya. He was hiding it in the console of his car when I saw him recently. He wasnt going to tell me.

Just like the alkie hiding the bottle, no different. The shame was pouring out of him.

I am praying for him. :(

NCP, now your name doesn't fit! Send me your number, I like to call people at 3AM, wouldn't ya just love that? (SMILE)

nocellphone 11-27-2006 08:45 PM

Heyyyyyyy, way to keep the focus on you, my li'l Ala-pal... Too much heat in the kitchen for ya? :09:

For the record (as if anyone in their right mind gives a rat's a$$...), I do not own a cell phone, nor am I in any way pro-cell phones. My disdain for cell phones and our culture's addiction to them remains in full force.

Recently, in an effort to either a) get me to quit or b) go out of my frickin' mind, my employers---after much dissent and vigorous protest on my part--forced a company cell phone upon me. Seems that they have some sort of "need" to be able to contact me when I'm not on premises (oddly, the phone has yet to ring, and I'm pretty sure I may be the only one of thirty-odd employees to actually know the number... If they ever do decide to use this electronic dog collar to track me down, they're more than likely gonna hafta go dig out last month's bill in order to do so. By that time, I'll already be there. Really, I just ain't that important)

So the virtually useless device resides in the console of my car, hidden and off--unless I'm checking for messages that no one ever leaves--and leads a very boring life. Eventually, I'll just "accidentally" drop it in a puddle... or the toilet... or through a sewer grating... and be done with the whole thing.

My wife doesn't even have the number. Today, I needed to turn the thing on to find out the number myself.

Thanks for "outing" me, FriendO'Bill, but it's kind of a non-issue.

Oh, and I love you too! :Val004:

the cell phones today have a gps on them....they are trackin ya!

it's all about the one world government thingy.

lol

i've punched in the coordinates, your being traced as we wait....i'll have your number for you in a moment.

FormerDoormat 11-27-2006 08:53 PM

Oh sure, blame it on your employer. That's the biggest crock of denial I've ever seen. I'll bet you hide it in your socks, don't you? Or perhaps in the top of the toilet tank. Or hidden amongst your loved one's things. Richard tried to pull that one on me, but he didn't get away with it, and neither will you. You can't fool a bunch of codies. We know all your hiding places.

Why Cellie, are you glad to see me or is that a cell phone you're sporting down there?

embraced2000 11-27-2006 09:17 PM

me thinks the cell doth protests too much

Another great company that wants to know where you are all the time! Hope you don't start calling FOB on it and get caught! making calls on company tme. I agree with your opinion of society's obsession with cell phones, and being on them all the time!

nocellphone 11-28-2006 08:49 AM

Ah, I have no need to sneak calls, actually. One of the "perks" of carrying this... thing... is that I can use it for whatever personal calls I'd care to make.

Oh, the temptation....................................... NOT.

Haha! Or shouldn't that be, FORMERnocellphone!?

Afterall, this is a program of absolute honesty! ;)

StandingStrong 11-28-2006 07:02 PM

Ah, too true Pick. What was I thinking? Oh, that's right, I wasn't. I was too distracted at the sheer shock of the non-cellphone carrier having joined the ranks of the ones they such despise (or claim too). Hmm....denial. Such a hard thing to watch someone experience.

roflmao :)
