My first (and last) blackout is what sent me over the edge into working for sobriety (rather than just denying my alcohol problem, or passively hoping it would go away). Very, very frightening. It is such a relief to be done with that!

Keep moving forward, visit your doc, and stick around here. This is the best place on the internet!

IP- I just want to echo more of the affirmations that you are at a good place here on SR. Sticking together works. For me, communicating with others who have the same stuggle keeps me sober.
