It's in the refrigerator

And it's sitting there looking like cool, refreshing relief from everything.

Rather at my wit's end.

ScottFromWI 06-13-2016 01:06 PM

If it's alcohol please dump it out. It's not the solution, things will only get worse.

kittycat3 06-13-2016 01:09 PM

It's a mirage sleepie, you know this. Get rid of it if you must.

zjw 06-13-2016 01:46 PM

yea if you drink it you can add that to your list of problems tho and its like dont you have enough to contend with as it is?

zjw 06-13-2016 01:47 PM

not to mention you wont win. I know myself i always lost that game *sigh*

Soberwolf 06-13-2016 02:13 PM

Sleepie I know your really down at the moment - don't do this

Leshar 06-13-2016 02:19 PM

Sleepie,
It's agony, I get it. But I think it's better to get rid of it, if it's alcohol.
Thinking of you. I will go on a walk and think of you as I'm in a bad place myself.

trachemys 06-13-2016 03:20 PM

It better be lemonade!

August252015 06-13-2016 03:29 PM

Why do you have it?

My thought, too.

IfYouCanDream 06-13-2016 03:40 PM

Good on you for posting.

Now dump it. It's all empty promises and lies, nothing else. Pour it down the drain. You deserve better!

ScottFromWI 06-13-2016 03:41 PM

I noticed you've logged on and off several times after posting this too Sleepie. There are a lot of people here who care very much about you, don't leave people hanging on a thread. You've worked way too hard to just throw it all away.

If I entertain the thought
and have it handy
I will probably do it.

If you know that it's poison for you
get rid of it.

:(

strategery 06-13-2016 03:59 PM

It's not going to fix any of your underlying issues.
It may take you away for a bit, but those issues will be back as soon as you get sober, and you'll have more to deal with such as withdrawal symptoms (since you've mentioned you have kindling), cravings, and potentially a hangover. Read your old threads with how much you struggled to get sober. Do you want to go through that again?

And what if we never get another chance for we know that some don't.

Even after getting burned are we playing with fire yet again?

No thanks, I don't drink.......have enough to deal with without succumbing to a false god.

sleepie 06-13-2016 04:23 PM

I haven't anything else to say.

Carlotta 06-13-2016 04:29 PM

Sleepie, please dump it and if you already drank some dump the rest and don't go get more.
You know that alcohol is not going to make things any better and that you will feel awful about yourself tomorrow. Drinking is like putting a band aid on an infected wound it might gives some temporary relief but the wound will fester even more underneath.

Many people here care for you girl

SoberLeigh 06-13-2016 04:34 PM

Dump it, sleepie my friend.

Alcohol only harms people like us.

Don't harm yourself; we care about you.

You wouldn't have come here today if that were true. Only you can make the choice to drink or not, and cutting yourself off from the sole support you have will not help.

S'OK, darling. You know I love you, right?

Hevyn 06-13-2016 06:05 PM

Sleepie please be kind to yourself.

soberclover 06-13-2016 06:25 PM

Sleepie......I'm giving you a great big bear hug. Do the next right thing.

fantail 06-13-2016 08:12 PM

Sleepie, thinking of you.

Delilah1 06-13-2016 08:18 PM

Hi Sleepie,

Hope you are doing ok. If you have alcohol in he house please dump it. If you have already drank, dump what you have left.

No matter what you currently have goin in it is so much easier to deal with it sober.

Lots of people on here are ready to listen. Let us know how you are doing.

❤️ Delilah

FYI: you are an important part of the SR forum, sleepie. I always find your posts thoughtful and real. I know things are tough right now...

No matter what happened with whatever is in the fridge, please resume posting. We are all here for you, just as you have been for us.

Is all I got for now

I am beyond my wit's end.

I took 2 Benadryl just to be able to calm down. Now I am simply overeating.

I have no relief no release.

Coldfusion 06-13-2016 09:05 PM

Thanks for posting, sleepie. I'm glad you didn't cave in and drink--things would go down hill very quickly if you did.

Croutie 06-13-2016 10:37 PM

I'm worried about you Sleepie... Hang in there Honey...
