Yes, many have years of sobriety
For all of us we had to get that first day under our belts
And then to not fall back into self deception
Making a decision and knowing that
Drinking will never work for us again
Doing whatever we need to do so as
to not take that first drink
which as we know now will only lead to many more in time

382 days - so grateful for the beautiful day, freedom from a hangover, and the total lack of desire to drink.

483 days today

599 days today, but who's counting.

During my first year of sobriety I made a small "0" on my calendar each evening to note another day of being sober and thank my Higher Power for my personal miracle. The days soon added to weeks and the weeks to months.

After one year my cravings had subsided enough and I began marking each month as a reminder of how close that first drink is that would lead to a thousand more.

And then came the years of sober thinking and living.

Such as myself I have seen many return to the old liquid devil
only to come back to sobriety on our hands and knees.

praying for one more chance

we have that today
as my sponsor says often
"only I can mess this thing up"

keeping an eye on me today

this site helps me not to deceive myself yet again

for we see many struggling

by the grace of God there go I

I haven’t figured it out for a long time so this got me wondering.

13,103 one day at a time in a row with no regrets.

BE WELL

I wasn't going to post. I'm mostly a lurker on here. But that last post made me smile. I too am at 74 days. I never realized how much money I was spending. So I bought a truck!
