Good luck! You can do this! Throw yourself into it and absorb as much as you can. Be a sponge! It's time to change your life! ((((HUGS))))

This is your time to nail that sucker shut. You got it.

Weaver 10-20-2013 01:17 PM

Thanks everyone. I am very nervous. I will be going at 7pm (per the rehab facilitys request)

Scared

suki44883 10-20-2013 01:18 PM

You'll do fine. Just follow instructions and get everything you can out of the experience. Many people don't get that chance.

KateL 10-20-2013 01:22 PM

Don't be scared, I'll bet they are lovely there. It might even be fun.

Opivotal 10-20-2013 01:23 PM

Weaver, I'm so proud of you! This can be a life changing experience for you, a gift, if you embrace it. I'll be here sending you positive thoughts and healing prayers.

Check in and let us know how you're doing, if you can. :)

Best Wishes To You!

I am REALLY nervous...will be leaving in about an hour.... :/

suki44883 10-20-2013 02:45 PM

It's normal to feel nervous. You'll be fine. It's like I used to tell my daughter when she was nervous about something...it's not like they're going to pull out a gun and shoot you.

Wishing you luck and can't wait to hear from you when you can check in. (((((HUGS)))))

How long will you be at rehab? 30 days? 60 days? 90 days? Longer?

Good luck pal. When are you checking in, Weaver?

Weaver 10-21-2013 11:33 AM

Well I am back...but its ok. I was able to stay at the facility last night and most of today but something with my insurance prevented from a full inpatient stay.

I will be going to outpatient however....looking for an AA meeting to attend tonight.

I know it sounde cliche, but this was my ROCK BOTTOM. Being in that facility...seeing what my life has come to. I am DONE drinking, I have never been more sure of anything in my life.

I will be attempting an AA meeting everyday for the next 90. I will be on here constantly. Reading recover books. I got this. This all has been a HUGE HUGE wake up call. This time is and FEELS different.

Thank you everyone for listening and your kind words.

I'll be around and posting often :thanks

I finally had my "ah haa" moment. It was embarrassing, humiliating everything rolled into one. I want to quit for ME this time (as well as my wife and two sons)

I am ok with it now. It is a very peaceful feeling. It really is.
