Happy Birthday Mmare and congratulations on 56 days of sobriety--two months coming up!

I was on an emotional roller coaster for the first six months. For me it is getting better. I had to just concentrate on myself not drinking and let the stuff like my social life take care of itself.

Mmare, that was a good post, and it has gotten a few people thinking, including me. I might have been a louder talker when I was drinking, but I am sure a much better listener now that I am sober. I like other listeners better now too, and those loud machine gun laffers have become pretty annoying.

AA is mentioned here several times, as it should be. But there are many other ways that folks have found to have done the trick for them, apart and separate from AA. AVRT is one of them, and you can read about it, and other non-higher power ideas, at the SR forum Secular Connections.

There are many other ways to 'get out of your head' too, NMare. There are lots of lost folks that can use your help, and they are easy to find if you look for them.
