Parsifal88, I can really relate to your post (#34). I set a a stop drinking date too - If memory serves, I ended up setting about 100 stop drinking dates!!

Nonalcoholics can say "Gee, I want to get in great physical shape so I will join a gym and totally stop drinking." Giving it no thought, it is easy for them to not drink.

Alcoholics on the other hand will hear that little voice and it is a tough road!

Please keep us posted on how you are doing! You are right, this place is filled with genuine, caring individuals!
