This sounds like no AA meeting I have been to, and very much not in the spirit of the program. AA is simple. The program does not concern itself with replacing activities, or people places and things. It's simply a path to a spiritual awakening that can solve the drink problem. There are other paths. Hope you can find one.

I actively seek out AA that carries the message of a spiritual solution.

Once when I was in hospital they had such groups but they were not AA, they were group therapy with a facilitator.... There is a big difference. one is based on trying to get you to see you have a problem. AA is for those who have a desire to stop drinking
