I started looking at SR about 2 months before I quit drinking.

I have been sober for six weeks!

My sobriety birthday is June 10, 1993.

I found SR a few months ago, because I was looking for information about dealing with another family member's addiction/alcoholism.

I gave this thread a quick view, and I didn't see where I had posted already.....sooooooo:

My Date Of Sobriety is June 23, 1986 ...... perhaps not all 'quality' but a good part of it.....I'm one of those who believes that in order to have 'quality' sobriety/recovery, one needs, at least, some 'quantity' ...... w/o any 'quantity' I don't see how one could have any 'quality' atall..... (o:

I first came to SR June, 2001 under the name Noelle, and for some reason unbeknownst (misremembered....?) to me, I re-registered Sept, 2005 as NoelleR

I don't know about taking advantage of SR to keep me sober, but I do use SR as one of my many online resources for service-work..... I guess one could say that seeing/reading the Newcomer's threads keeps me grounded and reminding me where I was.....and gets me to look at where I am now (especially if I'm bemoaning myself and my recovery). I think sometimes we can get so bogged down in how far we need to go (looking forward) that we forget how far we've come...... (o:

So, guys 'n gals.....I do got some quantity, and for me, for the most part, I would say it's mostly good quality; .....and, thankfully, mine is the ONLY definition for good 'quality' sobriety/recovery that counts......for me.....

Take what you want, y'all, and leave the rest.....have fun on this Road of Happy Destiny.

SR has done me proud.

Today, I've been sober for 109 days.

I started coming here when my mother was in active addiction and I was trying to fix her. It says I've been a member since 2004 but I think it was 2003. There was a crash of the website that changed those dates.

Amen to what Carol said. The best thing here is the members!
