I believe it is very possible to stay sober without AA. After rehab, I attended AA for a few months, began seeing an indiviual therapist, and did not get a sponsor or do things the AA way. I stopped going to meetings on a regular basis, but knew I would never drink again. I haven't had a drink for 30 years. Alcohol almost killed me, and I knew for me, drinking was no longer an option. I'm sure there are many like me who have found longterm sobriety with individualized programs of recovery. AA helps many (it helped me in the beginning), but not a necessity for everybody. JMO. |

No, a lot of people don't go to AA and are fine.. Hope that answers your question. |
Never been to an AA meeting and I have had no problem with relapsing. |
It won't happen trust me,I'd hate myself if I did. |
