Day 5 I am finally feeling less depressed and more hopeful. A friend from this forum has helped me find an AA meeting in my city that sounds awesome. I talked to one of the group members today. She said I will get phone numbers and temporary volunteer sponsers are available. I am actually quite excited about the meeting. It's on Monday. I have something to focus on this weekend. I can't remember the last time I looked forward to anything. Thanks for all of the support and kind words from those who care. Carol |

Good for you. It sounds like you have some good people around you. I am so glad when someone finally puts down the drink, it can be terrifying, but it's the best thing you will ever do. (((hugs))) Ted |

Carol, It makes my heart swell to see someone who has struggled as you have to finally have something positive occur in their lives. The beautiful thing about your post is that I saw nothing but hope and anticipation. Small, baby steps are all it takes to make a beginning. I am thanking God for the relief he has given you at least for today. Yours in sobriety, Ed |
