Sorry....You are correct that socrates focused on ethics mainly and didn't really concern himself with the metaphysical world, however plato did deal with metaphysics in some detail, here is an article from stanford on the topic.

and metaphysics doesn't equal religion...I think none of them truly concerned themselves with religion.
