I think we’ve all had an all clear from the doc and used it as an excuse to drink again in the past. It’s odd behaviour, but that’s what drinkers do.

Fatty liver is all too common now, and it’s no great cause for alarm but should be seen as serious. It is a sign that your liver can’t keep up with your drinking. It is a pre-stage for liver disease after all. The next stage would be fibrosis. The really good news is how quickly that liver fat clears. Mine vanished in about half a year when I quit. That was a massive let off. That time I didn’t “celebrate” with alcohol as I had a better life by then.

Well done, London. I don’t think you’re sure about quitting yet, but it’s a good start.
