I never tried drinking again because I never wanted to experience what my last days of drinking again, even if it didn't happen after that first experimental drink. The risk was too great.

If this is true, a person really needs a better taste of reality, because no fun without drinking is ignorant. Take "ignorant" as the actual definition of the term, which means simply "not knowing something," or take it in the negative way as in "just plain stupid." The fact is "not any fun with alcohol" is unequivocally wrong.
