I was reading SR last night and found the AVRT Explained (long) post and thread. I knew enough about it already to know I wanted to learn more. It was a fascinating read. I was already familiar with the SMART and SOS tools and while I have got some benefit from them in the past they are both IMO a little cumbersome, just a bit too complicated to easily work through.
I'm still watching the daily This Naked Mind videos and find I am doing very well with that, better than with anything I've ever tried before. I haven't had any urges to drink in about a week, which is
really nice. Ultimately, I think these methodologies are all versions or implementations of CBT, which I am very comfortable with.
It's great having so many options to try out, and mix and match. Whatever works, well it just works
