I am so grateful to be 11 months sober today. I wish I had faced the music sooner but I was in denial for a long time as I tried to moderate my drinking. PAWS due to prescribed benzo use and alcohol abuse has complicated my recovery and I still suffer from physical and mental symptoms but I have no regrets about quitting alcohol and benzos. The non linear nature of the PAWS symptoms is nerve racking but I fight on. In general I am in a much better place than I was a few months ago but I have to keep packing my patience as this is a long arduous journey. I am so grateful to SR and all the people here. SR has been one of my most valued tools in my sobriety.
