On my end, hardly working at all anymore. Just the minimum. I'm not even showing up to meetings, which I always did before, even drunk
I wrote a chairman today and said, please send me the minutes -- which is a bit snarky, because they don't bother to take minutes, because no one ever accomplishes anything. And when they try to do something, someone changes the minutes before distribution.
In my field, there's something called the "John Henry effect." No need to go into what it means, but I was teaching it to my students, and none of them knew who John Henry was. So I played them the song, sung by Johnny Cash, with an (unexpected to me) video of a black railroad man from the 1850s. Now I have to worry that someone will make a complaint against me or cancel me or something, either for the video, or for Johnny Cash, or what. Who knew college life could be so dangerous?
