It's not always easy to pinpoint events that cause major life changes, and at times I even wonder about some of my own, but I would love to know more about how you did it. Your comment, "Just not sure how," points to a buried treasure of inner secrets, experiences, and inspiration.
On the other hand, maybe I should let "well enough" alone, because at three years you have accomplished remarkable progress. Three years is wonderful news.
