It is good that you are taking support with you. Can I ask if you are bring males or females? I would take at least 1 female with you. I have a few reasons for that suggestion but dont need to go into it now.
I suggest you just tell her about your experience, each one of you share your experience with her, share what your life was like when you were in denial. Ask her if she cares to live or die? I was asked that question in a round about way, when I realized with my answer that I did not care if I lived or died, the next day I checked myself into rehab. Sounds simple, it wasnt but realizing I didnt give a crap helped me to realized I had hit my bottom.
Just share what it was like, and what it is like for you now. Share from your heart. That is all you can do. If you have a female with you she can offer to take her to a meeting or have coffee alone with her or something like that, so they can connect.
