I'd like to join the others here in saying how glad I am that you stuck to your guns and weren't pulled in by his "sudden insight."
I'm sure you know there will be hard days sometimes, down the road, and you might second guess yourself. Just like dawn follows night, though, you'll make it through and walk in the light again.
