Grateful for a nice long walk with Billie on this lovely sunny day.
Fearless, I took German for 3 yrs in high school and loved it.
I got pretty good at the pronunciation of the words. I saw my German teacher years after getting out of high school and told her that there was one thing she taught us that I'll never forget. She said if we're ever lost in Germany, never say "Ich bin verloren" for "I am lost" cause if you say it that way, it means you are lost spiritually, like a 'fallen woman' sort of lost. She said to always say "Ich habe meine weg verloren", or "I have lost my way". All these years later and I still remember that little tidbit.
I also had Beethoven's 9th Symphony "Ode to Joy" memorized in German and could sing the whole thing.
