Trailmix, I’ve started to recognize your username around! Thank you, I have been reading up a lot, through old posts and some of the recommended reading material.

I think I will work on putting my original post in this forum as well.

I had a tough day today of having to face my mom’s mortality (she’s battling stage 4 cancer) and how I want to be spending my days right now. Obviously, I want to spending as much as time as possible with her and my father. But also, I asked myself, deep down, what moments and activities would bring me peace and I saw my evenings at home with my husband, our walks and hikes together, going home to him after these long days and just talking and decompressing together. Simple moments with the people I love is what makes all the **** that comes with living worth it. And it really drove home how heavy that loss is weighing on me.
