Everyone is giving you great advice. In my town there are "dry clubs" the AA members belong to and socialize at. It's always hoppin' on the weekends. They have very informal "get-togethers" instead of a meeting. They smoke and there's usually hot dogs, soda. See if you can find one of those...talk to some one there and discuss your concern...they might lead you to a meeting that you like.
