33 is a crossroads, it was for me. Like many, I wish I would have put down the poison for good then. The precipitous decline into more consistent, darker, dangerous drinking begins around that age for many of us. There's a better life on this side of sobriety. Question is whether you want to do the work to get here - it's worth it.
