People never cease to disappoint me. I don't know that there is an easy way to break up; it seems like the only remedy for heartbreak is time, unfortunately.
I am very happy for you that you aren't thinking of drinking - that would not help. I agree with Anna, now is the time to do lots of nice things for yourself.
