If I may be so blunt - - - how were you affording your alcohol? You don't have to answer that ... Just allow yourself to go there.
I think that if you really want to find affordable counseling, it shouldn't be too hard. Just about any place you call will be able to refer you somewhere that may offer what you need and can afford.
