yet I never could taper - once I’d had the first few and felt ok I would drink until passing out time. “I’ll have to taper tomorrow”. It was a horrible purgatory of drinking because I had to but not being able to stop when I wanted to. Utter misery and I hope nobody else has to get that far gone.

only after the last seizures which nearly killed me did I stop, detoxed at the hospital. 16 months ago
