Thank you for updating your story. I think understanding what the long-term prognosis of living with an addict can entail is really helpful for those people who are currently living with an active addict.
We all want for our addicts to get well, we don't want to "give up" on them, but hope is not a plan, and while you are dealing with crisis and relapse after relapse, life is slipping away.
You did everything you could to help her, and I hope now she is at peace.
