Ten months sober

One of the great things about this site is how you can effectively end up with a journal of recovery. It's one of the reasons I make these posts each time the 25th rolls around. I can see how far I've come.

For me now it's about not getting complacent, consciously reminding myself I'm in recovery, whether that's through talking it over with a friend or family member, posting here, or going to a meeting.

From this far out it's now easy to see how much the lows of drinking outweigh the highs; when you're in the madness I know it is not always so easy. So my advice to anyone new is just keep the faith that the good days will come, keep logging on here, and keep pushing on
