Efra,
As I read the part in your post regarding Winter & your mental state I thought of my Mom. After leaving sunny So Cal after living here for over 50 years (with not so bad Winters) my parents retired to Northern Idaho. Very near to the British Columbia,Canadian border.
She was having a difficult time during the long, darker & colder Winter months. Started getting a bit of depression. This was 15 years ago. After a few cold seasons, my Mom finally spoke to her doctor about her symptoms. She still doesn't enjoy the onset of the long winters, but via her doctor she found tools to help.
Just a thought .....
