sobriety happens in the now, not after >>fill in the excuse here<<.
if you truly WANT to get sober, you will do anything and everything now to get sober and to stay sober.
this will require a lot of changes. playmates, playgrounds and playthings. so that means no booze in the house, no trips to the casino, no holiday parties which offer anything stronger than coffee. trust me, the office party will happen whether you are there or not. and NO thank you is a perfectly good response to any invitation.
so it comes down to you. if you want sobriety, make it happen. seize it. do whatever it takes.
