I never pray for patience any more. All I got as an answer to that one was more trials!! God was letting me practice.
Now I try being grateful any time I get through something difficult without saying or doing anything for which I feel a need to apologize. Good enough!
And really, any day I get my head on the pillow sober at the end is a success.
