Hi everyone, Day 140 and time for an update - I'm now 20 weeks alcohol free...

I'm still making gradual progress on all fronts. Work is going well - I am at my best in the evenings and this time was always wasted before.

Equally importantly though, I'm continuing to work on the longer term aspects of recovery. My friend, family and business relationships have inevitably been damaged. Very cautiously, I'm now starting to think about how to begin to repair them.

I'm seeing my psychologist this week and having spent some time covering the mechanical business of recovery (relapse prevention etc), we are now looking at some emotional based recovery work (Compassion Focussed Therapy), partly to address some of these issues.

May I ask others here have if you have done any similar psychology work? What areas should I focus on? What should I hope to gain?

As always any words of wisdom are welcome!

Thanks for reading. Forwards.
