I am an alcoholic (sober 4 + years) but have not been dependent on marijuana so I cannot give you any specific advice but maybe if you quit the weed then your mood and outlook might also improve. I am not saying it definitely would but I don't think you have much to lose by trying. Specifically I dont think you are likely to to want to drink any more than is the case now.
