AA has been suggested to me. I don't know. I dont like what I am hearing about them to be honest. I was told I dont have to believe in anything. But then they talk about god and if you dont do what they say you will be drunk again. Sounds really dodgy to be honest.
When I am through detoxing I might go to a meeting just to see. But if they bang on about 'god' and 'programs' and 'you must do this / you mustnt do that' then basically Im out the door.
I'm not in AA but different meeting groups have different 'personalities'. I think it's worth at least giving it a try if you're finding it hard staying sober.
