Today I am grateful for:
1. waking up on a Sunday and being able to enjoy the day because I’m sober and not sick from the night before
2. open windows and the smell of spring rain, and the birds singing
3. my Dad’s doctor commented on my breast cancer pen I was taking notes with, and so at the end of the appointment I gave it to her. It turns out she had breast cancer a few years ago. Grateful for her and her getting through that, and for her being patient and taking good care of my Dad
