The danger is the quiet boring times so I make sure those don't happen, I keep myself busy and socialise or put time into my hobbies or sports. I cut out all the bad influences completely too. Knowing it's like a mental illness helps, it's a physical thing in my brain that I can't moderate or control because that is the nature of addiction.
