At Al-anon today I received the gifts of clarity, fellowship, awareness and being a part of something greater than myself.
My Higher Power has been guiding me other places lately and it's good to be on my own path. In both places I see growth, life skills I've gained and many friends. There was a long stretch of time when I went to many meetings every week and it made a huge difference in my recovery.
Acceptance of myself and others, in all ways. Who we are in a given moment. That we're human, imperfect and fun to be around on a level that only other people who've been affected by this disease of alcoholism truly understand.
My home group is filled with double winners. I love that, the focus that stays on Al-anon, many newcomers and good vibes.
Each day I carry skills I learn through Al-anon with me.
