It is a sadness countered with happiness for where they are and what they've accomplished, but I get the pondering of what's next for you.

Unfortunately I caved in July and drank after many months sober, mostly because I couldn't take the thought of my best friend leaving. I still regret not being fully present his last 6 weeks home. Nothing awful happened, but I didn't deal with it well, and alcohol was a wasted, empty crutch. He's doing great away (go Badgers), and I couldn't be happier for him, but this relapse lasted four months. It's been very hard to get back on my feet, but I'm a week sober today. I'm so glad to hear that you're focused on enjoying every moment until August, and it does get easier. You've got a lucky son who will have all of you present until then, but please stay sober for you.

Bonnie - hope your weekend is going well. If I follow your naming convention my porn handle would be Schultzie Muskogee - catchy, no?

Otherwise started my weekend at a cold, soggy soccer game. Now time to start gathering my leaves...

Great to meet everyone! Enjoy your Saturday.
Thank you for this, it means so much.
