In a fit of rage my son acted on impulse and destroyed school equipment. I am grateful that my husband stayed calm in dealing with this. I did too, and we were a united front. Grateful that as bad as it was, my son is taking full responsibility and not blaming anyone or anything else like he’s done in the past. Grateful he is learning from his mistakes and accepting consequences. Grateful for the school’s response and support resources.

Grateful that I have stayed present and am handling these situations better than in the past.

Grateful to have found some good online parent support resources including a dad blog about raising two autistic kids and even finding humor in difficult experiences.

Grateful that we can always find something to be grateful for.
