Hey peeps! What a beautiful sober Monday morning!
I am going to take a break from SR as I am getting frustrated by some of the recovery fundamentalists on here of late. None of the lovely weekenders are in this camp btw, you guys and gals are all bloody marvellous! Some of these people jump on you like a pack of self righteous dogs if you don’t meet their expectations of what recovery should look like, I find I am posting less and less and don’t want to put myself in the firing line. It knocks my confidence and makes me feel like what I am doing is wrong and not good enough or I am deluded or in denial. I am sober, new to recovery and proud of how far I have come. What I am doing is working for me.
I’d like to check out this thread now and again but the temptation to then read other threads is there so I am going to try and keep off the site altogether and build up a thicker skin!
