I really like your posts.

For me, I agree with your first statement only if my behavior is consistent with living within or up to what I consider to be moral imperatives. These are universal and can be applied to others as well (but that gets dicey). Your post reminded me of the John Wooden quote about the difference between character and reputation, paraphrased..."Reputation is what others think you are, Character is what you are". I just wish self love was a derivative of self respect, even happiness. Great post
