Willow, I could have written your post about AV. Yes! I've been there 31 times in the past 31 days.
As for me, I started this journey hating weekends because they are filled with drinking triggers. Over the past four weeks, I've slowly learned to find more sober things to do, turn down a beer when others are drinking, and gradually not dread Friday and Saturday nights so much. It still takes a lot of planning, and often beating back an especially ferocious AV. But it's easier this week than last.
I'm wishing you all a great, sober Thursday! (And all your funny foods and candies make me laugh … I wish I could try them all!)
