Bumboid Absolutely. When we're drinking, we don't sleep... We are sedated. If we don't sleep properly, it negatively affects nearly every system in our body, to the point that we are putting ourselves in an early grave. I would absolutely recommend reading Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker. It's what made me realise what I was doing to my body, and made me start this sober journey! It's a real wake up call.
That is a great book! Fascinating how sleep impacts literally everything as far as our bodies go. I’m on day 12 here and while there have been a few days of insomnia, overall my rest (and dreaming) has taken a positive turn.
