welcome back Hawking

I wasn't surprised in a sense because relapse always seems to be a part of my recovery story,
I think a lot of people get fed that 'relapse is a part of recovery' line - but it's not really

Recovery is a million miles away from the state of mind that preceded my drinking again.

Relapse is part of my addiction. Straight up.

I'm not beating you up - I tried to get sober for 15 years.

I know well the struggle, but if there's anything I can leave you with it's that it's never too late to start writing Chapter Two of your life

The years I spent relapsing didn't stop me from grasping recovery and making it permanent.

I learned a lot from my mistakes, including what I needed to do not to repeat them, but it still took me a while to be willing to do whatever it took to stay sober.

I just had to open myself up a little to new ideas and new possibilities

I think you're ready for that Hawking
