The Naked Mind sounds interesting. I completely agree that culture helps push people in the direction of drinking alcohol, and having a casual attitude about crazy, drunken behavior which really is scary behavior.
Just one more reason to keep doing things to stay sober (such as joining a support group) for the rest of our lives.
