In the meantime, you have the opportunity now to begin building a life that does not so heavily rely on this relationship.
I hear what you are saying and that's potentially true. We we're above all friends first and shared everything in our lives and a very supportive friend at that through everything he's been through, so again apart from the sexuality thing I'm struggling to understand how he would not want his best friend involved and messaging others. But as others have said I'm going to leave it and if he wants to he will contact me first.
