When I had a month sober I went to an AA meeting. They hand out chips/coins for soberversaries, so I got one for 1 Month. I turned in my only other one, the 24 Hour coin...the Secretary of the meeting said, "We do this 24 hours at a time."
I replied, "But I'm not EVER going back to that Day One."
So far so good, 4+ years later.
