Do you have the opportunity to take any extended leave due to family sickness? We have the FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) here in the states and it basically states that after a certain amount of tenure, an employee has the right to take extended leave to take care of a sicked familiy member without the risk of losing their job. That is if you DONT want to lose your job
